Shelly RC Snubber is a resistor-capacitor network designed to reduce voltage spikes created when inductive loads are switched off. Installed in parallel with a compatible inductive load, it provides a short-term current path that helps discharge stored energy and protect the switching electronics from voltage transients.
Shelly lists typical applications including fans, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, tumble dryers, transformers, LED drivers and other motor loads. The published component values are 0.1 µF capacitance, 100 Ω resistance, 0.5 W power rating and 600 V AC rated voltage.
