The UCG-Fiber represents a new generation of Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateways, featuring hardware and software enhancements over its predecessors, the UCG-ULTRA and UCG-MAX. One such enhancement is the introduction of 10G SFP+ ports for both LAN and WAN and a 10G SFP+ RJ45 port, offering superfast WAN connectivity and high-speed local wired networking for connected devices, as well as capacity for over 500 simultaneous connections and over 50 UniFi devices. In addition to its 10G fibre and RJ45 ports, the UCG-FIBER also features 4 x 2.5G RJ45 ports including one that can be remapped to WAN for failover and load-balancing capabilities. These ports can offer dependable, high-speed network connectivity to compatible PoE devices like access points, VoIP phones and network cameras, with port 4 also able to deliver up to 30W PoE power to simplify and streamline network installation. The UCG-FIBER also incorporates a rich suite of software features, ranging from security measures to performance-enhancing networking protocols. These features include a license-free SD-WAN with Site-to-Site VPN and a VPN server, multi-WAN load-balancing and dynamic routing to improve performance, and an application-aware layer 7 firewall with content-filtering and ad-blocking. The UCG-FIBER also supports the full UniFi application suite, spanning the Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect product lines.
