The Aeotec Button is a battery-powered Zigbee 3.0 controller with three recognised actions: single press, double press and press-and-hold. A compatible hub can assign those actions to lights, scenes or routines. The device also reports temperature and has a magnetic back for flexible placement.
A Zigbee hub is required; the button does not switch mains loads directly. Feature exposure depends on the hub and its device handler, so confirm that all three gestures and the temperature entity are supported before planning automations. It uses a CR2450 battery. For dependable routines, test each press action and avoid mounting the button on surfaces that weaken the Zigbee signal.
