Aeotec's Heavy Duty Smart Switch is built upon their renowned smart switch technology. Just like their smart switches, it can be automated, manually controlled, and remotely monitored. It even has Aeotec’s reliable and accurate power monitoring technology.

The Aeotec Heavy Duty Switch is a Z-Wave smart switch that you can use indoors or outdoors. Certified for indoor and outdoor use, It’s also been crafted with all the technology necessary for it to perform flawlessly; a long-range antenna capable of communicating over 150 metres (490 feet) outdoors, and a Z-Wave repeater so that it can also communicate with other Z-Wave devices installed outdoors.
The Aeotec Heavy Duty Smart Switch Gen5 is a fixed-wired Z-Wave switch for controlling and monitoring high-current equipment. The European version supports loads up to 40A at 240V, reports power and energy use, repeats Z-Wave mesh traffic and has an IP44 enclosure for suitable indoor or outdoor locations.

IP44 does not make every installation weatherproof; cable entries, mounting position and surrounding enclosure still matter. Load type and inrush current must stay within the manufacturer's ratings. This product requires a compatible regional-frequency Z-Wave hub and professional fixed wiring. A qualified electrician should select protection, isolation, cable size and installation method for the connected equipment.
