Thanks to its slim and compact design, the Water Leak Sensor can be optimally placed in gaps to detect leaking water as early as possible. Simply place the sensor where water could leak, for example under the sink, by the washing machine pipe or underneath the bath. As soon as a water leak is detected, you will receive a notification, allowing you to act immediately. Home Automation can be utilised to trigger sirens and lights if required.

The Aeotec Water Leak Sensor is a battery-powered Zigbee 3.0 sensor that detects water at contacts on its upper and lower surfaces and also reports temperature. A compatible hub can send notifications or trigger linked sirens, lights or shut-off routines when a leak is detected.

A Zigbee hub is required and the sensor itself has no water valve or guaranteed remote alarm service. It uses a CR2 battery. Place it on a clean, level surface beneath likely leak points, then test the wet and dry states in the chosen hub. Zigbee coverage, notification settings and any linked actuator must all work for an automation to respond; retain ordinary leak-prevention measures.
