The Aeotec Motion Sensor is a battery-powered Zigbee 3.0 device that reports motion and temperature. Its magnetic mount allows the detection angle to be adjusted, and Aeotec specifies a 120-degree field of view. A compatible hub can use the reports for lighting, heating or security routines.
A Zigbee hub is required; the sensor does not sound an alarm or control a load on its own. It uses a CR2 battery. Motion-clear timing, temperature reporting and automation options vary by hub and device handler. Mount it indoors away from radiators, direct sunlight and moving heat sources, then walk-test the intended area before relying on any routine.
