Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 (Z-Wave)

Smart inside.

Attached to internal doorways, Recessed Door Sensor 7 can provide the intelligence that discreetly powers your smart home. Open a room and everything from its lights to its heating can be activated. Attached to secure storage areas, such as safes or trophy cabinets, it can alert you whenever they’re touched.

Full instructions can be found here.

Protocol:

Z-Wave.

Sensing:

Recessed contact sensor for reporting door open and closed states.

Installation:

Designed to fit inside a drilled door and frame so most of the sensor remains hidden.

Requirements:

Requires a compatible Z-Wave controller for status reporting, notifications and automations.

Before fitting:

Check the manufacturer's dimensions, required magnet alignment and suitability of the door/frame before drilling.

At under 0.4″ in width, some might call it compact. We prefer to call it invisible. It’s a door-based sensor that’s been designed as the door sensor should have always been: powerful but invisible. It installs within a door’s frame and monitors the use of that door, enabling security monitoring and powering intelligent automation.

Best paired with Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro Z-Wave Zigbee.
