The GS108T requires no additional hardware or software (cloud keys, network portals, local servers, VPN or proxy appliances etc.) to directly connect to the cloud and allow remote management. Just switch to Insight Cloud Management mode through Web browser-based User Interface and go. By activating the Netgear Insight Cloud management, the users will enable fundamental management features allowing businesses simpler configuration and deployment from anywhere using the Netgear Insight app from mobile devices or the Insight Cloud Portal from any device with a web browser.

The NETGEAR GS108T-300UKS is an eight-port Gigabit Smart switch with local browser management and optional NETGEAR Insight remote management. It supports features including VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, access controls and static routing. The fanless unit has no PoE power budget for attached devices.

An important distinction: NETGEAR documents the GS108T as a PoE powered device, so it can receive power from a suitable upstream PoE source, but it is not PoE power-sourcing equipment and cannot power cameras, access points or phones. Choose it for compact managed switching, not as a PoE injector or PoE switch.
