Shelly 1L Gen3 is a compact one-channel smart switch designed for lighting circuits where no neutral conductor is available at the switch position. Shelly supplies the Bypass for 1L/2L for connection in parallel with the load, allowing the relay to operate in this no-neutral arrangement without requiring a new neutral wire at the wall switch.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity support local and remote control, while schedules, scenes, local actions, scripting, HTTPS, MQTTS and WebSocket integrations extend it beyond basic switching. Matter support is available after the required firmware update, and the device retains conventional physical switch control.
