The Remotec ZXT-800 brings compatible infrared-controlled air conditioners and AV equipment into a Z-Wave smart home. It receives commands from a suitable Z-Wave controller and translates them into infrared signals, so supported equipment can become part of scenes, schedules and automations without replacing the appliance itself.
It also provides temperature and humidity monitoring and supports Remotec’s built-in and downloadable infrared code libraries. Compatibility still depends on the exact appliance, the available IR code or learning result, and reliable line-of-sight placement between the ZXT-800 and the equipment being controlled.
